TRAINING FOR CLIMBING
Need more climbing specific training? Hop into one of these laid back classes and level up your training upstairs using hang boards, pull up bars, campus boards, Moon board, and various other tools. It’s a fun and challenging class where you can connect with other climbers of various levels, learn how to train more specifically and intentionally, or just add to the training that you are already killing!
MOBILIZE
An essential and defining element of the overall Chalkboard fitness programming. Focussing on improving range of motion (ROM) and then building strength in that newly acquired ROM. A fantastic class in which to learn self assessment tools, everyday mobility self care, and to positively effect every movement you make every day for the rest of your life. No big deal. Climbers, you should be in here. All levels recommended.
DYNAMIC CIRCUT
10-15m warm up of mobility, dynamic stretching, and cardio. 45 minutes of movement using various styles of Circuit Training in an effort to engage the body and mind, improve agility, balance, strength and endurance, maintain an elevated heart rate, and generally bomb-proof the body. You will be carefully instructed in the use of dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, battle ropes, and steps/boxes amongst other functional training tools. All levels welcome!
ABS AND GLUTES
Just what it sounds like, a short format class designed to focus on two highly requested areas of the body. Drop in and strengthen the core, the back, and the back end to improve power, posture, injury prevention AND frankly to look good coming and going. Just keeping it real. All levels.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
This class is a weekly program that will have days of varying focus, with a foundation in strength, cardio, and muscular endurance. Each class will end with a core element for stability, endurance, and conditioning. A great class for those looking to focus on foundational/traditional barbell, dumbbell, and kettlebell movements. All levels.
